Abhijith is working as a Sustainability Lead/Senior Researcher in Dubai. He is a research-oriented Engineer with a Master of Science (Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi) and Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering. He has completed his schooling in Our Own English High school, Sharjah. Prior to his current work , he has worked as a Petroleum Engineer and as a Researcher in the industry and academia. He was also the Team leader who represented Dubai globally for the winning cohort at ideanco CLIMATHON 2021 and a recipient of numerous international awards. In addition, he was nominated by the industry for the ‘SPE Regional Young Member Outstanding Service Award - 2020’ and 'ADIPEC Young Technical Professional of the Year - 2021' for exceptional contribution to the petroleum industry as a young researcher in the MENA region. Owing to his passion towards deployable research and technologies, he has multiple publications (peer reviewed Q1 journals/conference proceedings) and certifications. Furthermore, he played a significant role in supporting multimillion-dollar projects across the globe. In addition, he is an active member and volunteer for multiple initiatives on a regional and global scale. This includes SPE, food/clothing/blood drives and community volunteering. He also assists in raising the awareness of STEM programs and counselling sessions in his home country (India), particularly to introduce them to the exciting domain of Energy and Sustainable Practices. We belong to a well settled Upper Middle Class nuclear family with liberal values from Kochi, Ernakulam.
